The purpose of the Kusum Yojana, run by the Government of India, is to help all farmers by giving subsidies for setting up solar pumps.

The objective of this scheme is to advance the production of solar energy in India and provide the benefits of solar agriculture to farmers.

PM Kusum Scheme Benefits

Under the leadership of the Ministry of Power, farmers get a subsidy of 60% through this scheme 

30% of the cost will be given by the government as a loan.

Farmers will have to pay only 10 percent of the total cost.

This scheme will provide more benefits to the farmers and ease of irrigation.

Will provide a subsidy to install state-of-the-art solar pumps, which have a
capacity of 720 MV.

Farmers get an opportunity to sell the extra produced electricity to the government

The PM Kusum scheme will promote eco-friendly agriculture using renewable energy.
